Imagine "multiplayer chess" where most players are pawns but CV players get queens in the hands instead! Ship of every class in the game should have approximately the same battlefield weight. Yes, it can be considered historical, but we have a PvP game here, it should be BALANCED. It could never address the problem that the battlefield weight of aircraft carriers is IMMENSE. All those buff all AA, nerf all AA, disabling manual drop on T4-5 CVs, removing USN flight deck variants. Newcomers likely have no idea how many times old CVs were rebalanced internally and publicly over many-many years(you can peek over the patchnotes to check yourself), it _just_ _did_ _not_ _work_. It seems they've only been posted in the devblog instead of news so most of players haven't seen it. Want to share reasons and goals of that changes:
